Lindsay Rosenwald

Lindsay Rosenwald started his professional studies at Pennsylvania State University in 1973 after graduating from Abington High School. He excelled a business and was particularly fascinated with economics and finance. Lindsay Rosenwald Graduated fro PSU in 1977 a part of Beta Gamma Sigma with a degree in finance. Regardless of his achievement in business, he now sensed he needed to pursue his dream of turning into a doctor.

In pursuit of his lifelong dream, Rosenwald joined Temple University’s School of Medicine. After graduating from Temple University in 1983, he began an internship at Abington Hospital before beginning his own private practice. He worked as a doctor in his practice for two and a half years. Though he enjoyed being a doctor, Rosenwald sought after a career where he could blend his two loves – medicine and business.

Lindsay Rosenwald decide to abandon private medical care in the mid 1980′s to take a job on Wall Street. The position he took was a Physician Analyst and remarkably fit exactly what he was looking for. Despite the fact that some doubted if he could prosper in this position, he showed those that doubted him that he was very proficient at investments. He worked here simply because he felt it was important to focus on opportunities in the medicine and health industry. People respected him and respected his thoughts and knowledge. Although he missed treating people, he understood this was where he belonged. During this time, he also worked for DH Blair and Company, a private investment organization, as the managing director of corporate finance. Over time, he left D.H. Blair and Company to pay attention to a new venture and firm.

In 1991, Lindsay Rosenwald founded Paramount Biotech. With time, he has broadened this company by establishing new companies and gaining control of other biotech businesses. He has developed or financed over 40 organizations co over 25 of which have been in the past three years. He can make these acquired organizations lucrative because he concentrates on both improving the corporate framework of the organization, as well as increasing the research portion.. Now, Paramount Capital is comprised of many companies. These companies include Paramount Biosciences, which produces and supports new biotechnology companies, Paramount Corporate Improvement, which works to build the Paramount Corporation as well as develop new drugs, and Paramount BioCapital, a broker-dealer that has raised over $950 billion in revenue since it started. The firms that Rosenwald handles have licensed or acquired over 100 experimental stage drugs.

Perhaps one of Dr Rosenwald’s greatest successes is that he set the record for the quickest development of a drug. In a little over 2 years, Arsenic Trioxide was researched, analyzed, approved and brought to market for treating leukemia. It is credited with preserving 1000s of lives in the 10 years it has been on the market.

Lindsay Rosenwald has established truly revolutionary companies. One of his companies sold to J&J for over One Billion Dollars although they only had 1 medication with phase two data.
